She loved it so much that she requested a second version in a different colour. Since then, I’ve reworked the shaping and styling multiple times, refining the details with each iteration.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe hat is cast on, on the inside of the brim, and knitted outwards first. It is then turned and knitted back to join the two sides of the brim together. Then it is worked upwards to the top.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe hat is fitted most closely around the brim, and features increasing positive ease towards the top to allow for a slouchy fit, and for the flat crown to remain flat.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis pattern is rated \u003cstrong\u003eintermediate\u003c\/strong\u003e, owing to the combination of increases, decreases, picking up stitches, chrysalis techniques, and working in the round using magic loop or DPNs.
